The Easiest Way to Strengthen

What does silver do? It is most known for its powerful antimicrobial effects, which makes it ideal for use when challenged by viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens. Silver also facilitates an efficiency of normal and necessary immune functions and cascades.

A silver cation (written chemically as Ag1+, pronounced căt-ion) or charged silver hydrosol nanoparticle (Ag(n)1+) can cause bacterial membrane rupture on contact. Even when it merely weakens the protective barrier surrounding a bacteria or fungus, it helps the white blood cells (WBC) to target the invaders more efficiently. This is what is also referred to as enhancing the Opsonic Index of the WBC. It’s as if silver places a homing beacon on the bad guys to make it easier for your immune system to come in and clean up the mess.

If the silver particles are small enough, as they are with bioactive silver hydrosol (around 1 nanometer, but certainly less than 10 nanometers), then they can also travel to the mitochondria of the bacteria or fungus and disrupt DNA synthesis, resulting in a microbe that can no longer reproduce. Silver can also bind to the protein coat of a virus, or even penetrate it and bind to the genetic material that the virus has stolen from you. This renders a virus unable to replicate immediately! Your cellular integrity is not endangered by the silver nanoparticles because God gave us all an antioxidant defense system for protection against oxidative stress.

This brings to light another area where silver plays a brilliant role in facilitating powerful immune efficiency. Silver is known to be an oxygen sponge. It has the capacity to carry ten times its atomic weight in oxygen, the warmer it gets. Why is this important? Silver nanoparticles flood the body with oxygen, particularly the B-lymphocytes (WBC). The immune system needs copious amounts of oxygen in order to produce Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), which it uses to disrupt metabolic pathways of pathogenic life forms. Once again, silver enhances the efficiency of immune intervention.

If that were all silver did, we could say that it may be one of the most overlooked vital nutrients in nature’s tool kit. However it can do much more. We now know that silver modulates fibrogenic cytokine activity. In other words, silver reduces excess cellular inflammatory cascades. This is one reason why silver is a mainstay in burn centers around the world, as it rapidly reduces any excessive reactions to severe (and moderate) tissue damage, allowing healing of tissue to occur in a greatly accelerated manner.

The scientific work of Dr. Robert Becker (The Body Electric) revealed that bioactive silver stimulates de-differentiation and re-differentiation of stem cells at the site of infection, inflammation or injury. This explains why applying silver locally to a wound or burn not only immediately reduces pain and inflammation, but it also shortens the time it would normally take to restore tissue to its previous, uninjured state. A recent study out of the University of Hong Kong showed that it does this while greatly reducing the potential for local scarring as well. The key is to get it to the point of foci (area of inflammation) as soon as possible and repeatedly until no longer needed (when healing is achieved).

The picture becomes even more complete when we remember the neurological receptor sites for silver mentioned earlier. One of the plagues of modern man, particularly as we have moved further and further away from living in line with Nature and Nature’s God (as the Founding Fathers of these United States wrote), is the growing incidence of neurological degradation disease, even in children. Many doctors and scientists acknowledge the role of chronic infection and its impact on the nervous system, which can cause premature nerve cell destruction and demyelinating diseases, such as MS. Another major factor in neurological degradation is cumulative exposure to deleterious heavy metals including mercury, cadmium, arsenic, lead and aluminum. This is not to overlook obvious deficiencies of silicon, selenium and essential fats which are all crucial for healthy neurological integrity.

Remember the neurological receptor sites for highly conductive silver mentioned earlier? Far from being a deleterious metal, silver actually facilitates healthy regenerative events within the nervous system by 1) Reducing the microbial burden, 2) Modulating inflammation and 3) Stimulating de-differentiation and re-differentiation of stem cells. 

It’s about time that we connect these properties and acknowledge silver’s vital role in promoting good neurological health! Addressing serious neurological degradation diseases would likely require (5 times daily) long term consumption of bioactive silver hydrosol (months to years, depending upon severity).

There is more to do once you understand silver’s anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. It’s also time to recognize its overlooked role in restoring health to the lining of the intestinal tract. Although silver can eradicate Candida albicans, it has not occurred to most doctors that it can be utilized to restore integrity to the intestinal lining (including the villi) through inflammation modulation and its de-differentiation properties. How many millions of people suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s, Colitis, Leaky Gut and Diverticulitis? Just consider all the children suffering intestinal vaccine and antibiotic damage within the autism spectrum! I believe that this is where silver must be considered for its cellular integrity restoration properties.

Unlike inferior colloidal silvers, legitimate bioactive silver hydrosol contains charged silver particles so small that they absorb rapidly in the mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach, long before reaching the critical areas of gut dysbiosis and inflammation in the small intestine and colon. This is why under normal oral (sublingual) dosing protocols; there is no disruption of healthy gut flora ecology.

This would be problematic for those who genuinely need direct intestinal interaction. So in order to deliver the bioactive silver hydrosol where it needs to go, in this case, combine it (one to two tablespoons) with an equivalent amount of aloe vera juice and swallow directly on an empty stomach, three times daily prior to meals. Follow up with a good pre/probiotic at night while on this protocol for one to two weeks. Once completed, return to teaspoon doses held sublingual three to five times a day for additional immune strengthening.

What’s the easy way to shore up immune function during the harsh winter months? Simply by consuming one teaspoon three times a day. Hold each dose under the tongue for about a minute or swish around the mouth and gargle before swallowing to allow for maximum lymphatic absorption. You can even spray some into the nose. Having a little silver present in the diet every day does a world of good for anyone encountering the immune challenges so typical of life on planet earth.

Using silver topically is another important consideration, not only for its healing benefits on cuts, scrapes and burns, but also to minimize the programmed need for petrochemical first aid treatments. I have never seen anything work so well to reduce the symptoms of eczema and even psoriasis, particularly with silver potentized to its homeopathic state as Argentum metallicum in a gel form.

As wonderful a trace element that silver is, it cannot replace the need for a return to 100% organic whole food nutrition. The body needs everything it needs to function properly. It’s just unfortunate that regulatory authorities in league with Big Pharma feel it necessary to attack another valuable gift from the Creator for all of us to use as needed for natural healing.
